California Brewery Tourism celebrates the spirit, creativity, and community of California’s craft brewing scene.
Our mission is to help people discover the stories, places, and people behind the state’s incredible breweries through engaging educational content, statewide brewery exploration tools, and programs that highlight the cultural and economic impact of craft beer in California.
We bring together beer lovers, local communities, and breweries of all sizes to explore the history, craftsmanship, and innovation that make California a world-class destination for brewery tourism. Through storytelling, interactive experiences, and community partnerships, we inspire residents and visitors to connect with the people and places that shape California’s brewing culture.
Our work supports vibrant local economies, encourages responsible tourism, and creates opportunities for breweries to share their passion with the public in a way that’s welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to all.

Help us build California’s statewide brewery map
Our first program is a Digital Discovery Platform: an interactive map of every active brewery in California, with profiles, history, photography and short films for each one. You can already read Liquid Gold, our history of brewing in California, and explore a preview of the statewide map.
The full, immersive experience will launch once our initial fundraising goals are met. Contributions fund the design and development of the platform and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

California Brewery Tourism is a nonprofit public benefit corporation organized under the laws of the State of California and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The organization is not a private foundation.
Contributions to California Brewery Tourism are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for charitable contributions unless expressly stated at the time of the gift. Donors should retain their acknowledgment letter for tax purposes.
The organization is registered with the California Attorney General’s Registry of Charities and Fundraisers. Copies of the organization’s determination letter, governing documents, and annual information returns are available on written request to the address above.
