Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use govern your use of californiabrewerytourism.org (the “site”), operated by California Brewery Tourism (“CBT,” “we,” “us”), a California nonprofit public benefit corporation. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Educational purpose

The site provides educational and cultural information about California’s brewing history, breweries and craft beer community. Information about breweries, including locations, hours and offerings, can change without notice; please confirm details directly with a brewery before you visit. Mention of a brewery, business or product is not an endorsement, and CBT is not affiliated with any brewery named on the site unless we say so.

Responsible enjoyment

Our content discusses alcoholic beverages for educational and cultural purposes. It is not intended to encourage underage or excessive drinking. Programs or events that involve tasting are open only to people of legal drinking age. Please enjoy responsibly, and never drink and drive.

Content and intellectual property

Unless otherwise noted, the text, maps, graphics, logo and design of the site are owned by CBT and protected by copyright and trademark law. You are welcome to view, share links to, and print pages for personal, non-commercial and educational use, provided you credit California Brewery Tourism. Any other use, including republishing our articles or maps, requires our written permission.

Some images are used under public-domain status or Creative Commons licences and are credited in their captions. Those images remain subject to their own licence terms. Map data from Open Brewery DB and Natural Earth is used under their respective open licences.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site in any way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation or security, or that attempts to gain unauthorized access to our systems. Automated collection of site content at a volume that burdens the site is not permitted.

Donations

Donations are processed by Givebutter and are also subject to Givebutter’s terms. How we handle receipts, anonymity and refunds is described in our Donor Privacy & Refund Policy.

Links to other websites

The site links to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies or practices.

Disclaimer

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CBT and its directors, officers and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its content.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.
